Busy times at Silver Smile Survival! Our Braces Cookbook series has launched into nationwide distribution through IPG, and we’re connecting with a non-profit group, Smile for a Lifetime, to donate the cookbooks to the patients treated by these generous orthodontists. Working with both of these groups will help us continue to spread the word about eating well and feeling good during one’s time in braces.

For anyone in the Phoenix area, you can visit with us for nibblies and a chat on Friday August 14 in downtown Mesa. Chef Amee Hoge and I will be at Inside the Bungalow cafe from 7-9pm, sharing ideas from The Braces Cookbook 2: Comfort Food with a Gourmet Touch, our latest book targeted to adults in braces (but great for all ages).

This is a good day for links! Another resource I’ve found for questions and comments about life in braces is Orthodontics Questions – it’s a user-generated site, but offers another opportunity to compare notes with other braces-wearers; check it out.
