Braces in any Language Make a Smile!

While browsing a braces blog the other day, I saw a comment made in German. I dredged up my college language classes and figured out most of it. It got me wondering, how does it sound to say “braces” and “to smile” in other countries? I looked up a few – if you know any more, send them to me and help me add to my list! (Sorry, I couldn’t get the proper accent marks to work, but otherwise correct me if I’m wrong!)

German – Zahnspange, lacheln
French – attaches, sourire
Spanish – aparatos, sonrisa
Italian – attachi, sorriso
Norwegian – stotter, smil
Dutch – steunen, glimlach
Portuguese – aparelhos, sorrir
