There’s a day, week or month for everything, it seems. October is National Orthodontic Health Month, and you’ll probably notice some related activities going on at your orthodontist’s office. Many are planning ahead for a Halloween-candy buy-back program. I think this is a great idea.
You (the braces-wearer or parent) unload all the unwanted, bad-for-braces, hard/sticky/chewy/crunchy candy (keeping the best, softest chocolates for yourself, of course), your orthodontist pays you for it (maybe by the pound), and you end up with either money, gift cards or cool stuff.
Heard of any other creative NOHM events? Let me know. By the way, my favorite candy is Milky Way Midnight Dark Chocolate….
